We arrived safely at about 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sana'a, one of the directors from the program, met us at the airport. We traveled to the King's Academy which is in Madaba and about forty minutes from Amman. This will be our home base for the next three weeks. The days promise to be warm, but as soon as the sun goes down, the temperature drops. We had a delicious dinner at a local restaurant tonight. When we left the restaurant, I looked up at the stars. They were incredibly bright and I quickly spotted the Big Dipper. I can hardly believe that I am in Jordan. I am anxious to see what tomorrow will bring as we tour the capital city.
